A.R. Rahman

A.R. Rahman chose to answer a few queries of Suhasini Manirathnam on stage recently. Apart from sharing his experiences of working with mentor Manirathnam, the maestro revealed that he also learned a lot from Telugu composer Koti, of the famed Raj-Koti team. Before turning composer himself, Rahman played the keyboard for Raj-Koti in the early ‘90s. While acknowledging Rahman’s words of appreciation Koti said, “I didn’t teach him anything, he is a born genius.”
